Trails starting from Val Canali

Prà dell'Ostio lies in Val Canali, within the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Nature Park, facing Sass Maor, Cima Canali, Cima Ostio and Cima d'Oltro. Some of the finest trails in the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009, start right here.

Rifugio Treviso: about 1 h 30 min
Rifugio Pradidali: about 2 h 30 min
Passo Cereda: about 2 h 30 min
Bivacco Minazio: about 3 h
Passo Canali: about 3 h
Rifugio Rosetta: about 4 h 30 min

A short drive away are Passo Rolle, the Colbricon lakes, Baita Segantini and Val Venegia. In summer, the Colverde-Rosetta and Tognola lifts at San Martino di Castrozza offer an effortless way up the mountain. You can set out on your own or with a mountain guide.

Advice: walking times are indicative and depend on each hiker's experience and fitness. Before setting out, always check the difficulty of the route and the weather forecast, for example on Meteo Trentino or Meteo Arabba. This is a protected area: respect plants and wildlife, carry your rubbish back down with you, and remember that flying drones is forbidden in the park.
