The route

From the Pale plateau down to Val Canali

The meeting sets off early in the morning from the Rosetta area, above San Martino di Castrozza, and crosses the Pale di San Martino plateau as far as the Fradusta glacier. From there it climbs to Passo Canali and descends into Val Canali, with lunch at the valley's mountain huts, La Ritonda and Cant del Gal.

This is a high-mountain route: it calls for ski touring experience and suitable equipment. Support along the way is provided by the Aquile di San Martino e Primiero mountain guides, the Primiero and Vanoi mountain rescue team and the Guardia di Finanza mountain rescue service.
